Electronic Files
Distributor name and purchase order number must appear in the subject line of the e-mail. A hard copy, PDF, JPG, or TIFF of the imprint must accompany the purchase order for verification to avoid a $10.00(C) paper proof charge. Files will receive automatic verification of receipt and will be opened within 24 hours. Upload artwork quickly and easily or e-mail artwork.

Production-Ready Art

Customer-supplied artwork should be production-ready and no smaller than 4" x 4" for latex balloons and 6" x 6" for Microfoil balloons. Artwork for other Pioneer® products should be sized to match the stated maximum imprint area for each item. Art will be sized to the maximum imprint area of the product selected. Artwork should be a minimum 300 dpi when applicable.
Media Requirements–CDs and DVDs are accepted.
Fax transmissions are not considered production-ready art.

Fonts and Straight-Line Copy
Fonts incorporated in artwork must be converted to curves OR paths. No type should be less than 4 points. Bold sans-serif fonts are recommended for small type. All rules and outlines should be 1 point or greater. A maximum of four to five short lines of copy are recommended for straight-line copy. Abbreviations, capitalization, and punctuation will be followed as shown on your order. Please print clearly. If not specified, type style and layout selection will be made for best effect.

Halftones and Line Screens
Halftones are printed at 40 lines per inch on latex balloons and 32 lines per inch on Microfoil balloons. Halftones are not accepted for 30" & 36" latex, AdMax Mini Sport Balls, or Giant Floating Vinyl Inflatables. Halftones on Beach Balls require approval of artwork and are printed at 30 lines per inch.

Multi-Color Print for Latex and Microfoil Screen Printing
Art must be vector art set up in spot colors. Stock inks will be used unless PMS inks are specified. Ink colors can shift approximately 1/8" in any direction. Order acceptance is based on artwork and printing capabilities. Artwork adjustments and/or a pre-production sample may be required. Balloons need to be inflated and viewed from 5 ft. in order to evaluate colors and printing.

Microfoil Flexographic Print Balloons
For spot print, submit art as a layered AI or EPS file. Pantone colors should be noted on incoming art file(s). For process print, submit art as a layered Adobe Photoshop® file. If flat art is submitted, extra prep charges may apply. Contact Customer Service for details.

Our Art Department operates with a Macintosh® computer system. We evaluate the quality of artwork files according to the industry’s SM@RT guidelines for artwork readiness. Artwork charges and additional production time may apply to files that do not meet the SM@RT guidelines.

The maximum file size we can receive via e-mail is 10 MB. Multiple files and any vector files should be compressed. Use either STUFFIT or ZIP archives. For more information, please visit www.smart-artwork.org.

Photo Prints
Latex Photo Print Charge (#80940): $60.00(C). Microfoil Photo Print Charge (#80941): $73.00(C).

Reproduction of photographs requires a quality, 5" x 7" continuous-tone print with good contrast; black and white is preferred. Light backgrounds with images as large as possible within the frame will give the best result. For photos of people, the shot should include head and shoulders with little or no background. Dark ink requires a positive image and is recommended for light balloons; light ink requires a reverse image and is recommended for dark balloons. When combining light and dark inks, two cuts/screens will be required. Minimum order quantities apply for each cut/screen. For best results, photo should occupy at least half of the imprint area. Vector art for graphics/type
may be required. Not available on 30" or 36" latex balloons.

• Drop Shipments: For shipments inside the USA, $10.00(F) per location. For shipments outside the USA, see below for shipping and handling charges.
• For split shipments to 10 or more addresses, a Microsoft® Excel spreadsheet with full address information must be supplied. Additional lead time may be required for split shipments. Please contact Customer Service for the template file.
• All orders shipped by least-cost method. If a specific shipping method is authorized, please indicate on order.
  No orders shipped C.O.D.
• There will be a $20.00(A) per carton UPS return charge for each address requiring correction.
• International shipping and handling charge: $25.00(C) per location.
